The University of Maryland Model United Nations Team (UMDMUN) serves as the national and worldwide representation of Model United Nations at the University of Maryland.
Our Goals
One, to partake in highly competitive conferences allowing for team members to gain a broader Model UN experience;
Two, provide a challenging yet engaging academic environment for all students to thrive in;
Three, to help students of the University of Maryland foster their passion for international relations and making the world a better place.
About Us
Founded in 2013 and “Re-Founded” in 2018, the University of Maryland Model United Nations Team (UMDMUN) strives to develop meaningful interactions between students of the University of Maryland that inspire, empower, and mold future leaders to help make the world a better place.
The University of Maryland Model United Nations team is proud to be represented by a diverse group of students with a wide variety of cultural, educational, and personal backgrounds. Each member contributes something unique that helps drive UMDMUN to be one of the premier collegiate teams that it is today.
Our Recent Achievements
UMD’s Model UN team was ranked Top 50 amongst North American Collegiate Model UN teams in 2023. Improving from Top 75 ranking in years prior.
UMUNC V, hosted by UMDMUN, was attended by over 250 students from across the DC, Maryland, and Virginia area. The UMUNC V Philanthropic program raised over $750 for the International Rescue Committee.
