MULTIFACETED ISSUES EMBEDDED IN BREXIT

The House of Commons is the elected lower house of the bicameral parliaments of the United Kingdom. This committee consists of cabinet ministers, shadow ministers, and backbenchers. Unlike other committees, this committee revolves around party politics contrary to personal opinions or countries, as found in the General Assembly or other Specialized Committees. This committee is meant to test your strengths in building rapport within your party and your ability to sway other parties to vote for your resolution.

This single delegate committee will focus on addressing the issues of the British withdrawal from the European Union, otherwise known as Brexit. The first topic asks Members of Parliament to focus on the economic implications of Brexit. Delegates must consider how the European Union impacts British economic policies, trade, and possibly the continuation of the United Kingdom in the European Internal Market. The second topic will require delegates to engage in border changes. Delegates will determine how the borders of the United Kingdom will work in tandem with the European Union, specifically between Ireland and Northern Ireland.
