We are excited to announce a second hotel partnership with the Cambria! There are a limited amount of spaces, so we encourage those to book as soon as they are able. We will update our website with more details about additional discounts and lodging for participating delegates as soon as possible. Hotel Partnerships

We are excited to announce that we offer discounted hotel rooms at the College Park Cambria. The Cambria is a brisk 15-minute walk, and 8-minute drive away from Tawes Hall, the hub for UMUNC VII. Reserve a room with two queen beds for $169/night— that’s $42.25/night per delegate! We have also secured King Suites for Advisors. There are a limited number of rooms, so book now while rooms are available. Book now until March 26th, or until rooms last!

The Cambria

This stylish hotel is a 13-minute walk from the Paint Branch Stream Valley Park, 2 miles from the Lake Artemesia Natural Area and 1 mile from the College Park Metro Station.

Streamlined rooms include free Wi-Fi, microwaves and flat-screen TVs, plus minifridges and pull-out couches. Parking is $10/night.

Note - Check-in conflicts with Opening Ceremony. The Cambria will store luggage for free, or early check-in is available for a fee.


College Park Marriott Hotel & Conference Center

Part of the renowned Marriott International Hotels Group, the College Park Marriott Hotel and Conference Center has the reputation for consistently providing great service at an affordable price. There are only a few King Rooms remaining!

Located to the lower west-end of campus, this hotel is the closest to Tawes Hall. In accordance with UMUNC VII’s partnership, delegations will have access to complementary parking and WiFi.

Additional amenities include a restaurant, a 24-hour gym, meeting rooms and a business center.

Conference Location

The University of Maryland Model United Nations team is excited to host UMUNC in The Tawes Fine Arts Center and the Art-Sociology Building at the University of Maryland, College Park. All committees will be hosted at in these neighboring buildings. Outside Tawes Hall is the Tawes Plaza, this outdoor plaza provides attendees the perfect opportunity for fresh air and college campus experience between committee sessions.

Additionally, Tawes is just a short walk from the Adele H. Stamp Student Union, where opening and closing ceremonies are held. Stamp houses multiple dining venues for delegates and staff to purchase food during dinner and lunch breaks.

Parking at UMUNC VII

Tawes Hall is conveniently located next to Visitor Parking. During UMUNC VII, delegates and advisors can enjoy free parking on Friday after 4pm, as well as all day Saturday and Sunday. Parking expenses incurred on Friday will be validated by the UMUNC VII Secretariat. For other parking information, please read our Conference Packet distributed to all registered delegations.

The Hotel at The University of Maryland

Situated at the forefront of the University of Maryland Campus, this polished hotel is off US-1 and a mile from the nearest metro station.

Featuring floor-to-ceiling windows, the bright rooms have free Wi-Fi, flat-screen TVs, and coffeemakers. Upgraded rooms include access to an executive lounge with perks such as breakfast and hors d'oeuvres, studio and 1-bedroom suites with added kitchenettes.

The University of Maryland, College Park campus is accessible via a number of transportation methods.

By Car / Bus

Located off I-495, exits 25B and 28B are a short distance away from the UMD College Park Campus. All UMUNC buildings can be conveniently located via Google and Apple Maps. For delegations arriving via bus, please contact the UMUNC Secretariat for additional information.

By Rail

The College Park-U of MD train station is serviced by both the D.C. Metro (Green and Yellow Lines) and MARC train services. UMD provides a free shuttle service from the metro station to the Regents Drive Parking Garage. For more information on shuttle schedules, please visit the following link. By Air

International and domestic air service to College Park is served by BWI, DCA, and IAD airports. While it is possible to get to College Park via public transportation from the airports, it does involve several transfers along the way. Please consult an online navigation system for real time travel information.
