COMBATING CYBERTERRORISM AND DISCUSSING THE MAINTENANCE & REDUCTION OF INTERNATIONAL MILITARY BASES
DISEC (Disarmament and International Security Committee) serves as a forum where leaders can address one of the most pressing challenges of our time: the pursuit of peace and security in an increasingly complex world. The committee aims to build a safer future for all tackling the underlying issues that drive conflict and insecurity.
This double delegate committee will focus on addressing the issues of cyber warfare and the maintenance of international military bases. The first topic invites delegates to delve into the challenges posed by cyberattacks such as critical infrastructure disruptions, data breaches, and the erosion of national security. Delegates will be encouraged to set the standard for cyber norms and the development of a protective global framework. DISEC is involved in issues related to military interventions, such as whether they are UN-approved or not. Given the amount of international military bases, the second topic will address the relevance, reduction, and maintenance of international military bases. Delegates will incorporate knowledge of cybersecurity as well as international relations in this committee.
