Register for UMUNC VII by Following the Steps Below
The UMUNC VII Secretariat reserves the right to close registration early should registration numbers exceed capacity.
STEP ONE
Fill out a registration application for UMUNC VII.
STEP TWO
You will receive an invoice via email. Submit your school deposit via mailed check or online, indicating your preference on the registration form.
Please mail checks, payable to UMD MODEL UNITED NATIONS, to the address listed on your invoice.
DO NOT MAIL CHECKS TO THE ADDRESS LISTED IN OUR CONTACT PAGE!
If you are paying by mailed check, please email our Director-General a photo of the envelope or check as proof that payment was sent. Upon receipt of the check, we will email you a confirmation that the transaction was completed.
Your registration will not be complete until we receive your delegation deposit. Delegate positions will not be finalized until proof of payment is received by our Director-General.
STEP THREE
Once your registration is finalized, you will receive an email with a liability waiver. Please return the forms signed in PDF format.
ALL DELEGATES OF UMUNC VII ARE REQUIRED TO HAVE A COMPLETED “UNIVERSITY OF MARYLAND LIABILITY FORM” SIGNED BY A PARENT/GUARDIAN ABOVE THE AGE OF 18.
The form will be released via email. Failure to provide a completed form will result in the delegates removal from the conference.
STEP FOUR
Review our Conference Packet. This packet contains the exact locations and details for UMUNC VII. This is a guide to navigating the Conference, such as parking tips, as this year’s parking is different than previous years.
The Conference Packet will be sent to all registered delegations as well as individual delegates as we approach UMUNC!
Financial Aid
It is a firm belief of the University of Maryland International Relations Associations that participation should never be limited by financial status. With a generous grant from our on-campus partners, specifically the University of Maryland Office of Community Engagement, we are pleased to announce the roll-out of delegation scholarships to delegations and individuals who request one.
Model UN is an experience that should be accessible to everyone and we will make every possible effort to ensure your place within our growing community.
To request a financial aid grant, please contact the Secretary-General and we will work with you to create a package that best fits your needs.
UMUNC VII Terms and Conditions of Payment
Your Delegation/School Deposit Fee is non-refundable. Delegation/School Deposit Fees are due through the end of the registration period your delegation has signed up for, as indicated on your invoice. We understand that many schools have set procedures in place for procuring funds. As a result, Delegate fees are fully refundable up until April 5th, 2026. Should your delegation change its attendance numbers after the April 5th date, you are responsible for paying the delegate fees in full. Payment must be completed in full by the start of the UMUNC VII Conference.
Delegations that fail to pay outstanding balances, regardless of attendance will not be invited to future UMUNC events and may face legal action under the laws governed by the State of Maryland and the University of Maryland System.
