ESTABLISHING ORDER IN THE FOUNDATIONS OF A NEW EMPIRE
The Mongolian Steppe has endured countless tragedies. “Peace” was something that the inhabitants of the steppe couldn’t fathom. However, in 1206, a man named Temujin was able to roughly unite the warring tribes at the Onon River, and was proclaimed Genghis Khan. Now, tribes that were originally at each other's necks, exist together. Born was the foundation of an empire. With an empire comes responsibility, and one empire without any governance and rules will collapse in the blink of an eye.
What laws will ensure that the tribes won’t turn on each other? How will the army be organized, and how will one make sure this army isn’t just fueled by violence? Most importantly, how will the empire make sure no surrounding empires take advantage of this loose link? In the year 1241, delegates will join this committee as part of the council of this empire, and structure this empire in the most efficient way possible. They (1) have to structure the empire's governance in a way that the citizens of the empire can live peacefully without any hatred amongst each other. (2) They have to adapt to external scenarios and keep the empire safe from outsider threats, or domestic uprisings/violence. Every law, every betrayal, and every decision will impact this empire, or possibly turn this into the biggest empire the world has ever seen.
