ADDRESSING GENDER IMBALANCE IN STEM AND EXAMINING CYBERSECURITY CHALLENGES FOR SMALL BUSINESSES AND PUBLIC INSTITUTIONS

The United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) is a global organization dedicated to promoting innovative solutions that enable responsible and sustainable development, particularly in emerging economies. The UNDP was established in 1965 and has since supported countless efforts towards sustainable energy and investment in sustainable development goals.

This Double Delegate committee focuses on advancing policies and strategies towards leveling the playing field between international economies. Topic A will address the persistent gender gap in STEM employment, which ultimately limits innovation, economic growth, and equitable access to opportunities. While Topic B will explore digital vulnerabilities affecting small businesses and public institutions, focusing on examining how cybersecurity challenges can hinder resilience and development.

Delegates are encouraged to consider how emerging technologies can be leveraged to foster inclusivity, economic empowerment, and secure digital infrastructures. Additionally, delegates must ensure they are balancing the challenges of equity and risk management in development contexts.
