Addressing Infrastructure Development & Reproductive Rights

The specialized GA will be centered around the African Union and member nations. Delegates shall represent member nations of the African Union and address their country's diplomatic needs while working with other African Union states. This specialized GA committee with be a regional bloc that addresses African topics through the lens of post-colonialism. The goal is to move away from Eurocentric views and focus on African topics.

Hello!

My name is Angelina Hermosilla Roman, I’ll be your Chair for the duration of this committee. I am currently a Freshman at UMD majoring in Operations Management & Business Analytics, I am also a student within the Advanced Cybersecurity Experience for Students program in our Honors College.

Personally, I’ve been doing Model UN for the past five years— with a personal interest in more scientific topics and committees. Now, I am super excited to be joining UMD’s team and contributing to this conference in any way possible. This will definitely be an interesting committee and I’m interested to see what everyone comes up with and where things go.
